Technical University of Munich (TUM) Internship
I am delighted to share the incredible experience I have had over the past two months working alongside a group of exceptional colleagues – Sebastian Herr, Francesca Gasparin, Tao Yuan, Jinxin Ai, Myeongseop Kim, Alexandra, Constantin Berger, and Isabella – under the guidance of our outstanding supervisor, Prof. Dr. Miguel A. Pleitez in Translational Optoacoustic Laboratory at the Technical University of Munich. In addition, in Munich, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Kıvanç Görgülü, a highly accomplished scientist in his field.
Our collaborative efforts have led to remarkable achievements in various experiments spanning the realms of biology, chemistry, and physics. From the intricate art of sample preparation to the precision of measurements, I have witnessed unparalleled growth in my skills and knowledge.
Moreover, I have realized more than ever how important self-supervising is, and I have had the privilege to learn the most important tricks of self-supervision. Beyond the laboratory, I have had the opportunity to forge lifelong friendships and gain invaluable experiences. These moments have not only enriched my professional journey but have also contributed to my personal growth and well-roundedness.
As we continue to strive for excellence in our work, let us also remember the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Balancing hard work with personal well-being is key to our sustained success as I have experienced during my time here.
Looking back, I am truly grateful for this enriching chapter and excited for the journey ahead. Here’s to continuous learning, growth, and collaborative success!

5th National Molecular Biology Congress
🧬🦾Excited to share that on May 4-5, I had the pleasure of attending the 5th National Molecular Biology Congress organized by İYTE Yaşam Bilimleri Topluluğu (YABİTO) at İzmir Institute of Technology. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics, from ancient DNA in chewing gum to cutting-edge bio-materials.
Despite my background in physics, exploring the natural sciences as a whole is incredibly enlightening. It reinforces my belief that there’s always more to discover and learn.
5th International 34th National Biophysics Congress, 2023
📢🏅 I’m thrilled to share that I received the 3rd best poster presentation award!
We recently hosted the 5th International 34th National Biophysics Congress in collaboration with the Turkish Biophysics Society at İzmir Institute of Technology on September 6-9, 2023. 🧬🔬
It was an honor for me to work alongside our remarkable team and our esteemed Congress Chair, Assist. Prof. Dr. Günnur Güler for organizing this congress🌟
It was one of the most challenging organizations I’ve been a part of, but it was also one of the most educative ones. From managing the intricacies of organizing a congress to presenting my research project, I learned invaluable skills and gained insights that will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors.
Each day, I’m expanding my network within the biophysics community, and I look forward to more exciting collaborations and work in the field. 🤝
3rd Best Oral Presentation at BİLFEST
I am proud to share that I received the 3rd Best Oral Presentation Award at BİLFEST 2024, held from July 12-14 at İzmir Institute of Technology! 🏆
During the event, I had the unique opportunity to engage with an enthusiastic audience and share my TÜBİTAK 2209-B project. To make the experience even more memorable, I awarded two lucky attendees and one inspiring high school student with 3D-printed protein secondary structures that I designed. 🧬✨
Why did I do this? Because I firmly believe that science is not just about publishing papers, it’s about sharing knowledge, inspiring others, and motivating the next generation of researchers. Seeing the excitement and curiosity in the eyes of future scientists is truly rewarding.
A big thank you to everyone who attended my presentation and to the organizers of BİLFEST for this incredible opportunity.
Let’s continue to make science accessible and exciting for all! 🚀🔬
Best Poster Presentation Award on IZPHOTECH’24
🎉 Finally!! I am honored to share that I was awarded 1st place for my poster presentation at the IZPHOTECH’24 on the International DAY OF PHOTONICS🥇
Held on October 21-22, 2024, at İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü, IZPHOTECH’24 brought together brilliant minds across diverse photonics topics, including biophotonics, fiber laser sources, photocatalysis, and advanced fiber optic technologies.
Besides the presentations of esteemed participants from different departments. I was contributing in the first time organized poster presentation sessions with our TÜBİTAK-1004 project.
I would like to thank to every member of the organizing committee for their hard work. And a heartfelt thanks to the IZPHOTECH’24 team for the thoughtful gift that accompanied this award!💫📖
Looking forward to continuing our work and advancing innovation in science!
